23savage receives 18 years ban for toxic behaviour

Valve’s campaign to punish the abusive Dota 2 players caught Fnatic’s carry Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon on the wrong side of the line. The 17 years old professional player received last night an 18 years matchmaking ban due “excessive reports, failing to ready-up or abandoning.”

Fnatic’s coach Lee “SunBhie” Jeong-jae posted a video on Twitter last night showing 23savage’s Dota 2 main account being banned until January 19, 2038. The video also shows that 23savage’s Immortal rank was removed.

About an hour before SunBhie’s post, TNC’s carry Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte posted a picture of a monitor showing an 18 years ban as well and tagged the official Dota 2 Twitter account, in an attempt to get assistance from the game developer. It is unclear if Gabbi’s post is related to 23savage or if it’s about his own account.

While neither posts received a reaction from Valve on social media, Fnatic are opening the second day of playoffs at DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major with a battle for a top 6 at the second Major of the season against Team Secret.

23savage is playing on his main account and his rank medal is displaying both Core and Support values, which should mean that the ban has been lifted in the meantime.
