Cyberpunk 2077 PS1 de-master is complete with glitches
Cyberpunk 2077 is almost infamous now for its glitches, bugs, and poor performance on older consoles. Despite promises of future patches and updates things are looking rough for last-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077. Fans online are comparing Cyberpunk 2077’s glitchy graphics to PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 graphics. Thanks to low-poly renderings of the game’s assets at times it’s an easy comparison to make. But what would these graphics look like if it ran on an even older console?
Some amazing memes have come in the wake of Cyberpunk 2077’s release. Screenshots and videos have been circulating showing off the game’s greatest issues. Thanks to one enterprising meme-maker from Reddit, fans have their first look at a demastered version of Cyberpunk 2077 on the original PlayStation.
Cyberpunk 2077 glitches brought to the PS1
Reddit user “alundbjork” faithfully recreates the complete Cyberpunk 2077 experience with their de-mastered version of the game. Alundbjork captures Night City, even down to the wild glitches and performance issues. In the video, players can see a tree randomly falling over and NPC character models randomly T-posing and disappearing. Other game assets pop in and out of view as they near V. The gameplay ends with V dying after a car spontaneously explodes on the player. As the video closes out, the fake game asks players to insert a PlayStation Format disk which is a great way to show that the game crashed.
Other Reddit users seem to love the video with one user saying, “The car grinding along the curb is too perfect.” Others claimed that it would still be revolutionary if it had been released on the PS1.
While the video doesn’t appear to be a playable version, the experience of a retro Night City is still amazing to see. Other resourceful fans have been creating mods for Cyberpunk 2077 on their own rather than waiting for CD Projekt Red to update the game.
