Florida Mutineers finalize their Call of Duty roster – Daily Esports

Florida Mutineers has officially signed Colt “Havok” McLendon, Cesar “Skyz” Bueno, Joseph “Owakening” Conley, and Josiah “Slacked” Berry to their roster. Slacked joins the roster after an unfortunately inaugural season for the Call of Duty League on the Seattle Surge. Florida was going to stick with their original roster for the 2021 season after releasing Bradley “Frosty” Bergstrom. Unfortunately, tragedy struck the Call of Duty community when Maurice “Fero” Henriquez passed away on November 10th. He was going to stay with the Mutineers into the 2021 season moving into Cold War.

Without Fero, many Mutineers fans began to question who would become Florida’s 4th player. Some suggested that the team would pick up John “John” Perez who was absent from Call of Duty during Modern Warfare. However, after several leaked scrims and tournaments, it was clear that Slacked would be joining the team. Slacked is looking for redemption on the Florida Mutineers after he continued to struggle on the Seattle Surge roster last year. Now that the game is moving from 5 on 5 to 4 on 4, Slacked should have a better chance to shine.

Florida Mutineers pay tribute to Fero

Many Call of Duty fans were heartbroken by the loss of Fero, who was a young player with a bright future was ahead of him. Ever since his passing the Florida Mutineers have paid tribute to him whenever possible and which included the roster announcement video.

Each player was given a small highlight reel to showcase their clutch ability from the past season. After the highlights, the video fades to black and Fero appears in what looks to be a short announcement clip. In the clip, Fero says, “As you guys know, I like to make money with the same gang, and here I am… playing with the same boys for the 2021 season. I’m excited and can’t wait to get to it.” It fades to black again and orange text then appears on the screen to say, “In loving memory of Fero #f3f3.”
