FlyQuest to sign LLA’s famed jungler Josedeodo, possibly Deftly for ADC
League of Legends team FlyQuest is bringing in new players to the team after reaching plenty of milestones this past year. According to esports reporter Jacob Wolf, FlyQuest has verbally agreed to bring in Rainbow7’s famed jungler Brandon “Josedeodo” Villegas. Following along might be the addition of Matthew “Deftly” Chen, previous bot -laner for Evil Geniuses Academy.
From the LLA to NA
This year, FlyQuest made their names known for the 2020 World Championship, and they’re looking to further improve their performance through some new roster additions. The organization’s verbal agreement to bring on Josedeodo may be one of the biggest news for the start of the Free Agency period, as this player quickly gained popularity during Play-Ins.
The League of Legends community quickly accepted the 20-year-old Argentinian as one of the better junglers in the scene. During Play-Ins, his performance began rocky but quickly gained momentum as Rainbow7 quickly improved their game against opponents. Unfortunately for the team, they did not make it past groups. Soon after, Josedeodo informed fans that he has an interest in joining the League of Legends Champion Series or the European Championship leagues as soon as he becomes a free agent.
FlyQuest calling shots on Josedeodo is something fans didn’t expect, especially after teams have light-heartedly suggested picking the jungler themselves. While the news is not yet official, League of Legends show host Travis Gafford shared that he has “90 percent confidence” of this deal going through.
A possibility for Deftly
On another note, FlyQuest may pick up Deftly from Evil Geniuses. This deal is a part of Evil Geniuses’ trade with FlyQuest for Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun, who will replace Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam for the upcoming year. Deftly is currently the bot laner for Evil Geniuses Academy, and may be replacing FlyQuests’ bot laner Jason “WildTurtle” Tran.
Other new FlyQuest signings to look out for are Cristian “Palafox” Palafox, Eric “Licorice” Ritchie, and David “Diamond” Bérubé. 2021 will welcome a new journey, and these picks may be what FlyQuest needs to continue pushing forward.
