GuardiaN benched, Perfecto signed, s1mple returns to AWP for Na'Vi
Natus Vincere has officially signed Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy the organization has announced. Perfect is stepping into the roster in place of Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács who has been benched from the active roster.
He’s not taking over GuardiaN’s role, however, as Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is set to return to his role as the teams AWPer.
“A few days after the Epicenter, we spoke with the players and agreed that the squad did not have the synergy we expected to reach by the end of the year,” the team’s coach Andrii “B1ad3” Gorodenskyi said in the official announcement. “Everybody tried very hard and the progress was noticeable. However, in crucial moments of the match we did lack the coherence, when you react to the opponent’s actions as one, indivisible unit.”
It was originally reported that Na’Vi was looking to replace GuardiaN just a week ago but much has been done since then. The organization quickly began weighing the idea of FL1T but forZe has confirmed that while Na’Vi showed interest, forZe and the player will ultimately stay together. forZe had no interest in selling the player and therefore the only option given to Na’Vi was to buy out the player’s contract for a large sum.
The 20-year-old Russian player has been with Syman since October 2018. He helped Syman achieve their first-ever Major qualification, granting them access to the StarLadder Major in Berlin. While they were eliminated in the New Challengers stage, they did manage to cause some discomfort in the scene with wins over Vitality and FURIA.
