Immortals outlast TSM in a 60-minute slugfest

LCS fans were treated to something special this Sunday. When Team SoloMid and Immortals took the stage for their Spring Split debut, few could predict how the game would go.

In a true NA fashion, the match was what the internet would describe as “NARAM clown fiesta”. It was a marathon that stretched for more than an hour with the last 15 minutes defined by Immortals trying to push through TSM’s base.

Even though they lost, Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg and co pulled off a masterful defense. Against an Elder and Baron buff from Immortals, TSM rallied to protect the outrageously scaled Senna of Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup and successfully outlasted the first double buff push. Immortals had to wait for the major objectives to respawn, take them again and initiate one final offense, decided by Paul “sOAZ” Boyer’s Aatrox bypassing TSM’s players and going straight for the Nexus.

Already down 0-1 in the season, TSM now have to worry about a potential second loss on Monday as they go out to meet defending LCS champions Team Liquid. Liquid themselves suffered a harsh loss at the hands of Cloud9 and are playing without their main jungler in Mads “Broxah” Pedersen, which makes this face-off all the more unpredictable. One of these teams will start their season 0-2.
