Team Secret continue to dominate Team Liquid – this time at OMEGA League

As OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division continued today,
we would see two massive teams having their first series in the event – with both
coming back after a break of around six weeks: Team Secret and Team Liquid.

Secret and Liquid have played against one another on
multiple occasions this year, with the former holding a 6-2 record in series
and a 14-4 record in game count. However, now that there has been a break for
both teams, things could be different but considering Secret’s domination
throughout every event they have been involved in, it was likely that they
would kick off OMEGA League in fine fashion. However, game one did not show
that at all as some brilliant plays from Liquid completely destroyed Secret over
and over again. It took one amazing moment from Samuel ‘Boxi’ Svahn’s Centuar
to save the Phoenix ultimate from being destroyed and put Liquid on the path to
take game one.

But Game two we would see the Secret which was expected as
Michal ‘Nisha’ Jankowski’s Shadowfiend tore Liquid apart at every turn, leaving
them in shambles as the series was tied at 1-1, with a decisive game three on
the way. Going into the final game, it seemed as though Liquid would be able to
claim the series, with Lasse ‘Matumbaman’ Urpalainen’s Anti-Mage not really
having an impact on much of the games – until after the 35-minute mark when he
begun to show up in team fights, ripping through Liquid’s lineup.

With nothing going their way, and mega creeps beating down
on their base, there was nothing Liquid could do to take the game as Secret
marched through to take down the Ancient and claim a 2-1 victory in their first
series at OMEGA League: EU Immortal Division.

The day is not over just yet at OMEGA League with one final
series remaining between and Natus Vincere before we have a three-day
break from the group stage action.
