ZFreek returns to North America to form a new Dota 2 roster
Having not been seen in the Dota 2 scene since OG.Seed decided to end their ventures in the game, Zakari William Lee “Zfreek” Freedman returns to North America with a new roster.
Although OG.Seed did not have the worst of times in 2020, they did end up releasing their full roster in July, leaving the players to go their own way. For Zfreek, he did not join a new roster in the European region and has since been unseen in the Dota 2 scene, until earlier today. In a Tweet from Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton, he confirmed that Zfreek would be returning to the NA region and joining a roster called “NA4WAT”. This roster contains a few players who are known and other who are almost entirely unknown, even for the NA region.
According to this, as well as the team’s registration on the Dota 2 Minor and Major page, the team consists of the following players:
- Zakari “ZFreek” Freedman
- Jaron “Monkeys-forever” Clinton
- Anthony-Brian “Papatooty” Hanna
- Ilyas “Steel-_-Borco” Kaukenov
- Nick “Lil_Nick” Hartzler
As mentioned previously, a few players on this roster are well-known, with the likes of Lil_Nick having played alongside Jaron on his team at the Twitch Rivals North American Showdown – while Steel-_-Borco has played on the likes of Black Ice eSports and the NA Vega Academy. It will be interesting to see just what ZFreek can do when coming back to North America and if the region can find new teams to dominate.
