Animal Crossing Switch: Release date, trailer and MAJOR leak ahead of Nintendo Direct

Animal Crossing Switch looks set to be revealed during the Nintendo Direct for E3 2019 that’s taking place today.

Animal Crossing Switch is pencilled in for a release date this year, but so far Ninty fans have only had a brief teaser trailer to go on.

That was revealed during a Nintendo Direct back in September 2019, but since then there’s been no new footage or screenshots of Animal Crossing Switch.

However, this looks likely to change soon with the Nintendo Direct for E3 2019 a good place to reveal more on Animal Crossing Switch.

This is especially the case if a leak about the Animal Crossing Switch release date turns out to be true.

Earlier this year in a post online reported that the Animal Crossing Switch release date may have been revealed by a UK retailer.

Back in February UK online retailer Base listed the release dates for a number of highly anticipated Nintendo Switch titles.

These titles were Animal Crossing Switch, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and DAEMON X MACHINA.

And interestingly, Base listed Animal Crossing Switch as having a September 13 2019 release date.

This seems awfully specific to be a placeholder, so it may be that Base has got insider info about the Animal Crossing Switch release date.

This listed release date hasn’t been taken down since it was published on the Base site in February.

Base also listed Luigi’s Mansion 3 as having a July 19 2019 release date, which again hasn’t been taken down.

The online UK retailer originally listed DAEMON X MACHINA as having a May 24 2019 release date, but this has since been changed to August 30 2019.

It remains to be seen if these release dates are accurate, but Switch fans should find out either way during the upcoming Nintendo Direct.

If Animal Crossing Switch is pencilled in for a September release then it would make sense for Ninty to showcase it during today’s Direct.

A full reveal on the title a few months ahead of launch would help build anticipation for it amongst fans.

A release date reveal would also help prime those fans that are looking to get pre-orders in for a day one purchase.

The Nintendo Direct for E3 2019 is kicking off at 5pm BST today. You can stream all the action online on YouTube.
