Battlefield 2042 is getting a crucial update on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

Battlefield 2042 update 3.1 has a December 9 release date and an 8am GMT launch time.

Judging by the patch notes, the update should fix some of the game’s biggest problems.

This includes improvements to bullets hit registration, which has been a huge cause of contention since the game launched.

That’s on top of balance changes for bullet dispersion and recoil, something that should improve the multiplayer experience.

After getting destroyed more times than I can remember, it’s good to hear that the Ground Vehicle 30mm Cannon effectiveness has been reduced versus infantry.

“It now overheats faster, has a slightly reduced rate of fire and blast damage, and increased fall off damage at distance.”

Needless to say, the update also makes a wealth of bug fixes. Check out the patch notes below for the full list of changes.

The new Battlefield update doesn’t require any downtime, so set your console to auto update and you won’t miss any game time.
