Gamers across Warzone and Call of Duty Cold War can start unlocking the new Carv.2 Tactical Rifle today.
Described by developers Treyarch as boasting “impressive firepower, solid recoil control, and a large ammo pool to pull from,” this new burst-fire tactical rifle has been tuned with mid-range battles in mind.
It can also be used to take down long-range targets but needs to be unlocked first using in-game challenges.
To earn the Carv.2 in Call of Duty Cold War, gamers need to eliminate 2 or more players rapidly in ten different matches using a Tactical Rifle.
These matches will also need to be completed, so you can’t just take down two players in quick succession and then quit out.
The same mission can be found in Call of Duty Warzone this week, although it will take a lot longer to complete.
Ten missions in Warzone could take a long time to complete, although it comes with the added benefit of being able to eliminate yourself after completing the challenge.
And for those who still want to go for the win, Resurgence Duos is also available, providing fewer players to shoot at but quicker games to complete.
Other changes have also been made in Call of Duty Cold War this week, including new maps to play and playlists to run through.
Detailing these latest additions, a message from Treyarch explains: “Squad up and jump into a Moshpit of TDM, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint in Season Three’s newest 6v6 maps in the Yamantau + Diesel 24/7 playlist.
“Hardcore players can also enjoy this one in the Quick Play menu featuring HC TDM, HC Domination, and HC Kill Confirmed.
“Party Game fans can also get their fill in the brand-new Party Games playlists, featuring Gun Game, Sticks and Stones, and the Season Three return of Prop Hunt along with Yamantau and Diesel added to the Prop Hunt map rotation.

“We’ve also added Gun Game to the Quick Play selection, joining Sticks and Stones from the start of the season.
“And for Gunfight fans who love a little variety in their arsenal, Gunfight Blueprints returns this week in Featured Playlists! We’ve also implemented some additional stability improvements and Zombies fixes, including an aim assist fix for the Pack-a-Punched Swiss K31.”
