Chivalry 2 announced, coming to Epic Games Store in 2020

At the PC Gaming Show, Torn Banner Studios and Tripwire Interactive announced Chivalry 2, the follow-up to the 2012 PC hit, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.

Chivalry 2 will add some additional elements to the medieval, first-person battlefield that was Chivalry. The developers have doubled the player count, up to 64 players. But the developers consider horses to be the biggest addition to the game.

Players can ride horses around Chivalry 2’s battlefield, cleaving enemies quicker than before. The team even mentioned using horses to recreate the feeling of famous battles from fiction like Game of Thrones’ Battle of the Bastards. Between the horses and the bigger game size, the game is set to simulate larger medieval battles.

Even with the larger battles and interest in creating battles reminiscent of set pieces from TV and movies, silly fun is still a focus for Torn Banner and Tripwire.

Chivalry 2 is coming to the Epic Store in 2020. Torn Banner and Tripwire Interactive say that the game will remain a Epic Games Store exclusive for 12 months.
