Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo: Bad news for fans hoping for PS4 release date soon
Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo has been one of the hot topics among PS4 gamers, but those hoping for a PS Store release soon have been dealt some bad news. The existence of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo leaked over Christmas, with an upcoming PS Store listing discovered by the Gamstat website. This site reveals upcoming PS Store listings before they go live, and had previously leaked the existence of the Resident Evil 3 remake.
Gamstat leaked the Resident Evil 3 remake not long before it was officially announced by Capcom.
This led fans to hoping the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo leak from Gamstat meant a PS4 release was not too far off.
But those hoping the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo drops on the PS Store before the PS4 game’s March 3 2020 release date have been dealt some bad news.
According to a post by GameSpot, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo will launch on the same day that the game gets released.

So, if true this means Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans unfortunately won’t get a chance to try out the JRPG revival before its highly anticipated release.
There have been a tonne of leaks surrounding the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo.
Leaked footage that has emerged has shown what’s in store for fans, with the demo looking like it covers the opening section of the game.
And there’s something in the leaked demo footage that could back up GameStop’s release date claim.
The leaked footage which has been posted on YouTube shows at the end of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo PS4 gamers are presented with a screen.
This screen directs PS4 gamers to purchase a full copy of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Users can click to purchase either the standard digital version or the digital deluxe edition.
But what’s interesting is at the top of the screen it says “select a version to purchase” – not select a version to pre-order.
If the demo was coming out prior to the game’s release date then surely gamers would be asked if they wanted to pre-order, not purchase, it?
Ever since the existence of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo leaked Square Enix has kept shtum about it.
The Japanese gaming giant have neither confirmed nor denied its existence, and they’ve given no indication of when it will release.
Recently the official Final Fantasy 7 Remake Twitter went quiet for over a week where no tweets were posted.
It may have seemed that the Twitter account was gearing up for a post on when the highly anticipated demo would actually drop.
But its first Twitter post that broke the radio silence simply shared pictures of Shinra HQ.
And the latest tweet from the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Twitter once again posted pictures from in-game.
This time around the FF7 Remake Twitter posted about the game’s iconic villain Sephiroth.
It posted: “The legendary SOLDIER Sephiroth was thought to have died during a top secret mission for Shinra, but the details are unknown… #FF7R”.
It remains to be seen when the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo will release, and whether it will be on the same day as the game launches.
But in the meantime we will keep you up to date on all the latest surrounding the FF7 Remake demo.
