Fortnite season nine update adds new map locations and battle pass

Epic Games has also introduced Fortbytes, which consists of 100 collectable computer chips.

They are available to players who get the new season nine Battle Pass, and they can be collected to decrypt a mysterious image.

Players who collect all of the computer chips will unlock rewards and discover hidden secrets about the new season.

The first day of season nine will see 18 Fortbytes released into the game, with at least one more becoming available each day for players to find.

The Combat Shotgun is newest weapon to be included, and it is a semi-automatic that can hold 10 shells.

They fire nine pellets per shot and the damage ranges from 73-81 depending on whether it is rare, epic or legendary.

It has a tight spread and fast fire rate and can be reloaded two shells at a time.

The creative mode has also been given plenty of updates today, with players able to build their own version of the Neo Tilted area.

Epic Games has also added hover platforms for higher construction and platforming, as well as a creature manager.

This new feature lets you customise creatures that you put into your game, by changing their health and damage, as well as the score you get for eliminating them.
