Get GTA: San Andreas for free for PC with the new Rockstar Games Launcher

Rockstar has decided to hop on the bandwagon and create a launcher for most of its PC games, but with a little added incentive.

PC gamers can now keep all (or at least most) of their Rockstar titles in one place, with the release of Rockstar’s new Games Launcher. Plus, for a limited time only, you can get a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

To download the launcher it’s pretty straightforward, just head to the official website and sign in with your Social Club account, which should be the same you use for any of their other games. If you don’t have one, no worries just create an account and follow the steps.

Once the launcher is loaded, you’ll see a copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in games your library, claim it from there, and it is now yours to keep.

Sadly, not all games are on the launcher at the moment. The PC titles  supported via the Rockstar Games Launcher are:

  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Max Payne 3
  • L.A. Noire
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto III
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files (supported, but not available for purchase)

The games not currently supported at the moment are:

  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City
  • Grand Theft Auto 2
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Max Payne
  • Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne
  • Manhunt
  • Midnight Club 2

With Rockstar’s ever-growing popularity, thanks to the ongoing success of Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online on consoles, having their own launcher for PC games makes a lot of sense.

It’ll also no doubt spark hope that Red Dead Redemption II is finally making its way to PC. But while it is probably an important step towards that Rockstar still hasn’t announced anything official and it’s impossible to guess when they might.
