Godfall’s Gameplay Trailer Leaks Online, Showcases Combat And Enemies

Though a new leaked trailer showing off Godfall‘s gameplay has emerged, the Godfall teamhas admited that it’s over a year old and it is excited to show fans how far the game has come since then.

With the next generation consoles ready to make their debuts at the end of 2020, fans and gamers alike are wondering what kind of strengths and specs the PS5 and Xbox Series X will have. More importantly, however, some are curious as to what kind of games and console exclusives the two systems will have and how will those games perform.

In a recent turn of events regarding the PS5’s first exclusive (also on PC) Godfall, a leak has showcased the game’s gameplay elements via a trailer. To be more specific, the leaked video demonstrates the game’s combat system, enemies, environments, and a lot more.

There are few important things to note about the leaked video. First, the video shows year-old footage of the game, according to the Godfall team. In other words, this was likely taken before Godfall was officially announced at the 2019 Game Awards. Second, the trailer was mostly meant for “internal use” and is therefore likely nowhere close to the final version of the game. Because of this, it’s safe to say that the final version will look and perform much better.

The game itself has been described as a looter-slasher that features armored warriors and swordplay somewhat similar to Dark Souls and For Honor. Additionally, Godfall is being developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox Publishing, the same company behind the Borderlands games. As such, a looter-inspired game could prove to be interesting, especially due to the fact that Godfall will focus on close combat weapons instead of firearms.

While there is still no release date for Godfall, the game is supposed to come out at the same time as the PS5, so it’s a good idea to wait for further trailers and announcements. Nonetheless, fans of the genre should definitely be keeping their eyes on the game.
