GTA 6 maker Rockstar switches off social media comments following leak

It hasn’t explained why, but Rockstar has started blocking any and all comments across its social media pages.

Rockstar Games had already tried stopping people from talking about Grand Theft Auto 6 earlier in the month, by banning the phrase ‘GTA 6’ across both its YouTube and Twitch channels.

From the looks of things, however, it appears to not want people commenting on its social media pages at all.

Recently, the studio shared an update for GTA Online regarding some new content additions, such as two new race cars.

The trailer for the update has been uploaded to Rockstar’s YouTube channel and shared via its official Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts as well.

However, comments underneath the YouTube video are disabled and Rockstar has restricted replies for the Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram posts, only allowing people to like and share them.

The studio hasn’t issued an explanation for this, but it no doubt has to do with the massive GTA 6 leak that took place last weekend.
