GTA 6 Release News: GTA 5 fans convinced GTA Online updates are Rockstar teasers
GTA 6 'leaks' are becoming more and more regular in recent months.
A combination of Rockstar Games concluding work on Red Dead Redemption 2 (although Red Dead Online will no doubt continue to evolve) and the eve of a new console generation with PS5 and Xbox Scarlett has seen more talk of whats to come next from Grand Theft Auto.
We've even seen suggestions that Rockstar Games are already scouting Miami for a possible next-gen take on GTA Vice City.
Meanwhile, GTA 5 actors like Steven Ogg have poured gasoline on suspicions by saying that GTA 6 would be releasing "soon", explaining that Rockstar's "games take 7-8 years to make, do the math."
Although nothing official has been mentioned by Rockstar, it seems fairly certain from all corners that the developers must be working on something.
When you consider that as far back as 2016 Tech Radar was confident enough to release a report saying that “Preliminary work” was underway, it's impossible that they couldn't have something going on in the background.
When will GTA 6 release?

That leads us onto this latest big fan theory, one we've seen bubbling away for a few months now.
Be it on Reddit, GTA Forums or various YouTube videos, there's a growing belief that Rockstar might be seeding GTA 6 content in various GTA Online updates.
Nothing as obvious as missions, maps or little clues dotted around the game, but rather the cars.
The most recent incident of this happening has come this week with the release of the games new Weeny Dynasty car from The Diamond Casino & Resort update.
And it's not the first GTA Online car added in the last year that's given fans suspicions. There's even been suggestions that the handling on these cars is notably different from the wider game.
However, the most compelling explanation for this theory we've seen has come from the GTA Forum user, Benefactor69, who went into a lot more detail in a post recently.
GTA Forum user,Benefactor69, has pulled together the most compelling explanation for the theory in a long and very detailed forum post.
"Why would Rockstar potentially be reusing assets meant for GTA VI in GTA Online? It could simply be as filler, or it could be because they have run out of other content."
"I can't confirm this myself but I have seen it stated several times on this forum and it does make sense, but supposedly The Doomsday Heist was meant to be the last DLC for GTA Online."
We won't share the full breakdown of info, because it's fairly long, but we suggest instead fans have a read of Benefactor69 's forum post instead by clicking on the link above.
Now, this alone wouldn't be sufficient, after all, this theory is just that, and based a lot of the number of vintage cars released in the GTA Online updates over the last few years.
Thankfully, the forum user has another interesting perspective that we've not seen mentioned in other reports.
GTA 6 Release Rumours, Leaks and News
Essentially Benefactor69 notes how a similar thing happened with GTA 5 and the last GTA 4 expansion, The Ballad of Gay Tony.
"By 2009 GTA V was already in development and likely enough so that Rockstar had an idea of some new vehicles and features they would want to include in it. I think that the new TBOGT exclusive cars were actually early GTA V vehicles," explained the Grand Theft Auto fan.
"It could be said that they were made for TBOGT and simply rushed as there was not a lot of time, however I believe that they were unfinished GTA V vehicles.
"While many vehicles from GTA IV were cut from GTA V or never made it to GTA V at all, nearly every new vehicle featured in TBOGT made it to V.
"The Bullet GT, F620, Buffalo, 2nd gen Schafter, Super Diamond, Serrano, Police Buffalo, Akuma, Bati Custom/801RR, Double T, Hakuchou, Hexer, Vader, classic Faggio, Buzzard, Skylift, Police Bike, and the Caddy all returned in GTA V."
"Some of the new activities featured in TBOGT also ended up making their way to V and Online such as golfing and base jumping, dancing was also planned but cut and then reused for After Hours."
What dormant series should Rockstar Games release next?

It's difficult to say for certain and as we mentioned at the start, this is more of a theory than a leak as such.
However, if Rockstar are seeding small bits of GTA 6 content into GTA Online, then we could be nearing an announcement for the game in the coming months.
Whilst the release date could still be months, possibly years away, your best bet to get a taste of what Rockstar Games next Grand Theft Auto game could be like, you might be best jumping back into GTA Online.
