Peaky Blinders VR video game announced for next year
The game itself is described as featuring, ‘authentic player and character interactions driven by new enhanced AI performance technology’.
The game is subtitled The King’s Ransom and while the involvement of the TV cast isn’t yet confirmed it’s certainly implied by Maze Theory’s website.
‘Peaky Blinders’ fans and VR gaming enthusiasts can, for the first time, infiltrate the underground criminal world of the urban street gang’, claim the creators. ‘They will undertake a covert and unorthodox mission and defeat a rival gang.’
There’s no screenshots or video of the game yet but it’s promised that you’ll be able to explore the Small Heath area of Birmingham, including locations from the show such as The Garrison pub.
‘I’m really excited by the prospect of Peaky Blinders entering new territory. People who love the show will love the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world in such a total way’, says TV show creator Steven Knight.
The game is due out in the spring of next year, but currently it’s unclear on what formats.
