Persona 4 Golden: Social Link Character Availability Guide

The Persona series has always been praised for how rich the games’ characters are, and Persona 4 Golden delivered iconic characters in spades. From your sweet little sister to a grieving old woman, from your Investigation teammates to your sports club teammates, there’s bound to be a P4G character that captures your heart.

But in order to get closer to them, you’ll need to rank up your social links, and that starts with inviting the character to spend time with you. For information on when your P4G social links are available to see you, and where you can find them, check out our guide down below.

Story events on set dates will supersede your free time, and your social links will not be available on these dates.

The Investigation Team

Your teammates' availability is limited during dungeon-crawls, and will remain so until after you've defeated its boss. It will then return to normal, until the following dungeon.

With their social links pivotal to the unfolding of Persona 4 Golden's story, these social links will rank up automatically as you progress through the game.

Your classmates' availability is very limited if school is not in session.

The Residents Of Inaba

Ryotaro Dojima

Dojima will only spend time with you between missions, or after you've finished your current dungeon. If you're currently working on a dungeon, he'll be unavailable.

Nanako Dojima

Like her father, Nanako will only spend time with you if you are not currently working on a story mission.

Tohru Adachi

It's important to note that Adachi's availability is unlike the rest of your social links in that, instead of having days of the week when he's available, Adachi is only available on certain dates.

In addition to his availability being limited, his social link comes with a deadline: you must get Adachi's social link to Rank 6 before 11/1.

His social link will lock where it is on that date if you don't.

The Velvet Room And Fox Social Links

Marie

Once you've reached the Magatsu Inaba dungeon on 12/8, Marie becomes available every day.

However, no matter how close you are to Marie, you cannot progress past her Rank 4 scene until 7/24 for story purposes.

Additionally, Marie's social link has a deadline of 12/23. Maxing her social link before this date allows you access to Persona 4 Golden's bonus content.

Not finishing her social link locks you out of the bonus content completely.

Margaret

Instead of spending time with her, Margaret's social link requires you to fuse Personas with specific skills.

As such, Margaret's availability is near-constant. If you can access the Velvet Room, then you can speak to Margaret to show her your newest fusions.

Doing so does not consume a time slot.

Fox

The Fox tasks you with granting ema requests for the citizens of Inaba, and you need to go see the Fox when you're done to finish the request and rank up.

The Fox can be found to either give or finalize requests at Tatsuhime Shrine and is available every day during the daytime. Its availability is not impacted by rain.

While receiving a request doesn't, ranking up with the Fox consumes a time slot. Keep this in mind when planning your schedule.
