Puma RS-Dreamer Super Mario Sunshine and Galaxy trainers out next week
There are now going to be three choices of Super Mario trainers, as Puma also unveil a line of Mario-themed T-shirts and hoodies.
The announcement of Super Mario 3D All-Stars last week was a bombshell that fans still have haven’t stopped debating but it was also part of a multimedia celebration of all things Mario, that involves everything from Kinder eggs to Monopoly boards and clothing.
There’s a whole line of new apparel from Uniqlo but also special Puma RS-Dreamer trainers which are meant to tie-in with the remaster of Super Mario 64.
But now it turns out there’s a different pair of trainers for each of the games in Super Mario 3D All-Stars, with Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy also getting their own variants.
The only problem is that the Super Mario 64 ones came out last Friday in America and, unless you want the child-sized versions, they’re already sold out and going for *checks eBay* upwards of £225 on the grey market.
But a series of leaks has led website Nintendo Wire to discover the other two variants, which seem to be set to go on sale on 17 September.
There’s also a small line of T-shirts and hoodies that turned up on American store Champs Sports, which is owned by Footlocker.
None of this seems to have been officially announced yet though, with news about the tie-in merch apparently being just as prone to leaks as the games.
While checking Nintendo of America’s Twitter, to see if they’d mentioned them, we did notice this tweet about yet another clothing line from BlackMilk though, who seem to be an Australian chain.
