Star Wars: Darth Vader Is Getting A Brand-New Solo Comic

The Skywalker saga may have reached its conclusion with Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker, but that doesn’t mean the Star Wars universe is anywhere close to finished with our favorite Skywalker and Skywalker-adjacent characters. Not only are we anxiously anticipating the arrival of new Disney+ streaming series like Obi-Wan and Cassian Andor but Marvel has a slate of new Star Wars comics just over the horizon.

Darth Vader himself is getting a brand-new solo series created by Greg Pak and Raffaele Ienco, kicking off with Darth Vader #1, and StarWars.com offered an extensive preview of the first issue.

The story will take place after the events of The Empire Strikes Back but include extensive flashbacks to Vader’s personal history, so expect plenty of cameos from your favorite (or least favorite?) prequel characters.
