Watch 15 minutes of Monster Hunter: World’s Iceborne expansion
Capcom’s Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion will launch on Sept. 6 2019, but you can check out some of the gameplay now.
In this E3 demo for Iceborne, a group of hunters take to the snowy forest to hunt beasties: first, a big-horned Banbaro, and then a Tigrex. The Banbaro is a new monster that was added with this expansion, and it’s only found in the Hoarfrost Reach. It looks appropriately chilly, as fits the location. It’s got long white fur covering the parts of it that aren’t gross, exposed skin, and it sports an enormous, curled pair of horns. It’s awesome.
The Tigrex is a lizard monster that kind of reminds me of a bigger version of the Jagras. It’s got no dang hair on it, and I’m hard-pressed to imagine how it survives in all this snow.
Well, it won’t. You’re gonna kill it.
Iceborne will come out for all platforms and will cost cost $39.99 as a stand-alone expansion. It will also be sold for $59.99 as a bundle with Monster Hunter: World. It will also feature a new elder dragon.
