Xbox Live free games ALERT: Great news for fans about major Xbox exclusive

Xbox One fans that are members of Xbox Live Gold will be getting a great free games bonus.

Xbox One fans will surely be in high spirits after Microsoft put in a great E3 2019 performance.

The Xbox makers showcased more of Halo Infinite, revealed more on the xCloud streaming service and announced a release window for their next console.

During a packed E3 2019 briefing, Microsoft also gave fans an update on Gears of War 5, which will be coming out in September this year.

During the E3 conference The Coalition revealed that Gears 5 will feature a brand new multiplayer mode called Escape.

Multiplayer has always been one of the big selling points of the Gears of War series.

And it’s recently been revealed that those that purchase Gears 5 or play it via the Game Pass will be getting a great free bonus.

This week it was confirmed that Gears 5 will not have a season pass and that all the DLC maps will be free for multiplayer and private play.

The free bonus will be music to the ears of Xbox Live members looking to play Gears 5 online when it launches in September.

The news was revealed in a post online on the Gears 5 website, which also announced that players will get free content for playing via Supply Drops.

The Gears 5 post said: “With Supply Drops, every minute you play (across every multiplayer mode) contributes towards a random item drop from a unique pool of content we call Supply.

“If you draw a duplicate card, we’ll automatically turn it into Scrap. Scrap can be spent on crafting Supply items you don’t have or character skills you want to upgrade.

“Supply Drops and Supply Drop Content cannot be purchased with real-world money.”

Speaking about the paid-for content for Gears 5, the Coalition added: “Exclusive customisation content can be bought with a premium in-game currency called Iron. Iron is purchased with real world currency.

“You will also be able to earn a limited amount of Iron through each Tour of Duty to spend in content in the Store.

“Content found in the store is direct purchase, meaning what you see is what you get. No Gear Packs, no randomness.

“We are committed to ensuring we preserve a fair competitive environment across our modes, so there will be no items in the store that provide a competitive advantage for real-money purchasers, i.e. no pay to win.”
