Breath of the Wild glitch shows a beautiful underwater world

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is already known for its sprawling, open world, filled with neat design tricks and abundant enemies, but a recent glitch shows just how much detail lives in parts of the game that aren’t always visible.

A Twitter user shared a clip of their experience, which shows Link wading into the water while activating his scope. Once they cancel out of the action, the water disappears and leaves behind a clear view of a lush underwater world filled with coral and giant, brightly-colored fish.

While Link can swim in Breath of the Wild, he can’t dive or explore much underwater. The clip above is an impressive demonstration of how much dedication and detail the artists put into a part of the game that players can’t even properly access. Breath of the Wild has been out for a little over two years now, and we’re still finding new things to enjoy about the game.

Hopefully, Breath of the Wild 2 will allow us to explore an underwater kingdom — its producer said that they had so many ideas for Breath of the Wild DLC, they decided to just make a new game altogether.
