MediEvil remake comes to PS4 this October

Sony Interactive Entertainment is bringing PlayStation classic MediEvil back as a PlayStation 4 game this fall. The MediEvil remake will be released on Oct. 25, Sony announced on Thursday during its State of Play livestream.

While the MediEvil remake doesn’t appear to be going as far as some other PlayStation-era remakes, it looks very nice. A new trailer for the game, highlighting the story of protagonist Sir Daniel Fortesque, shows off the “remade from the grave up” graphics, which will be presented in 4K resolution.

Here’s the official story breakdown of MediEvil, which Sony announced at 2017’s PlayStation Experience:

Step into the bones of Sir Daniel Fortesque, a slightly-inept (and long dead) knight accidentally resurrected by his greatest enemy, the evil sorcerer Zarok. With a second chance to foil his greatest foe, Dan will once again set out to save the kingdom of Gallowmere and earn his place as a true hero.
